How to use PNG in Photoshop
- Open Adobe Photoshop and create a new document or open an existing one.
- Go to File > Place Embedded or File > Place Linked to insert a PNG image into your document.
- Choose the PNG file from your computer and click “Place” to add it to your canvas.
- Use the Move tool (shortcut: V) to position and resize the PNG image as desired.
- Apply any adjustments or edits to the PNG image using Photoshop’s tools and filters.
- Save your work as a PSD file to preserve layers and editability, or export as a PNG file for final output with transparent background, if needed.
- When saving as PNG, choose appropriate options like interlaced or non-interlaced, and select the desired color mode (e.g., RGB or indexed) based on your requirements.
- Finally, go to File > Export > Export As or File > Save for Web (Legacy) to save your PNG image with optimized settings for web or other specific use cases.
